Okay, who wants a Christmas card? I've been completely spaced out for the past few weeks and I'm not sure which addresses I have and which I don't. If you want a luverly Christmas card sent all the way from sunny, sunny York, then leave a comment with your name and address. Comments are screened, 'natch.

Aaaaaaand, even though I'm sure I got most of them, if you have a Christmas wish list could you link me to that too? I'm sending out all my pressies on Thursday or Friday, so I need to be sure that I haven't missed anyone.

*goes back to lying on her bed wondering if she's getting the flu*

EDIT: [info]marimac, I completely forgot to mention this but my Mum brought your package over with her and, of course, I opened it because Christmas is just too far away. Thank you so much! I loved it, even though I'm just a tad confused as to what the hell is going on. Although I think that's the whole point of the plot? I'm going to have to get more ^_^

I've been getting poked to post this, so here goes:

Step One
- Make a post (public, friendslocked, filtered...whatever you're comfortable with) to your LJ. The post should contain your list of 10 holiday wishes. The wishes can be anything at all, from simple and fandom-related ("I'd love a Snape/Hermione icon that's just for me") to medium ("I wish for _____ on DVD") to really big ("All I want for Christmas is a new car/computer/house/TV.") The important thing is, make sure these wishes are things you really, truly want.

- If you wish for real life things (not fics or icons), make sure you include some sort of contact info in your post, whether it's your address or just your email address where Santa (or one of his elves) could get in touch with you.

- Also, make sure you post some version of these guidelines in your LJ, so that the holiday joy will spread.

Step Two
- Surf around your friendslist (or friendsfriends, or just random journals) to see who has posted their list. And now here's the important part:

- If you see a wish you can grant, and it's in your heart to do so, make someone's wish come true. Sometimes someone's trash is another's treasure, and if you have a leather jacket you don't want or a gift certificate you won't use—or even know where you could get someone's dream purebred Basset Hound for free—do it.

You needn't spend money on these wishes unless you want to. The point isn't to put people out, it's to provide everyone a chance to be someone else's holiday elf—to spread the joy. Gifts can be made anonymously or not — it's your call.

There are no rules with this project, no guarantees, and no strings attached. Just...wish, and it might come true. Give, and you might receive. And you'll have the joy of knowing you made someone's holiday special.

Don't you love it when a wishlist has so many rules? )

Click here to be brought to a friends' locked post containing my address. It's probably better that stuff get sent to my Irish address rather than my English one. I have a feeling that some of my post is going mysteriously missing here...

Weekend to-do list time - huzzah!

* Sort out Ruminations(archives, comments, etc)
* Finish uploading The Killers scans for Gill
* Do a round of everyone's blogs and comment accordingly
* Work on my planned Severus Snape shrine
* Update Perpetual Metamorph
* Make some Space: Above & Beyond icons
* Answer my e-mails
* Sort out my moodtheme
* Get a proper guestbook and counter for Insanity Sandwich
* Leave xposure
* Write some more of that Havok/Icarus fic
* Tidy my room and reorganise my book shelves (oh the humanity!)

I had a dream the other night that I was in a toy shop and there was a sale on. Naturally, I was looking around (I believe I was looking for badge refills for my badge maker *g*) when I stumbled upon the My Little Pony display. All of the My Little Ponies were reduced to $2.05 (why dollars, I don't know) and were buy one, get one free. So there I am, thinking, 'Gosh! [info]marimac would love these! She had My Little Ponies on her Christmas wishlist! Oh... These are the new ones, and she wanted the old ones. But they're so cheap... Maybe she'd still want them' when I realised that one was called Damon (did they even have boy ponies?) and I knew that I had to get it. Because, everyone knows [info]marimac wants a My Little Pony version of Damon 0.o

Which neatly leads me to...

My Christmas Wishlist )
