I was in the mood for some baking today, and so I made biscuits:

They're slightly chocolately, slightly orangey and delicious. I actually wanted to make a bunch of other stuff, but I ran out of butter and everything on campus was closed for Easter. Just in case anyone else wants to make lovely, lovely biscuits, here's the recipe:
Frosted Orange Biscuits
Ingredients
6 tbsp butter, softened
75g/2¾oz caster sugar
1 egg
1 tbsp milk
225g/8oz plain flour
25g/1ox cocoa powder
Icing
175g/6oz icing sugar, sifted
3 tbsp orange juice
Method
01. Line two baking trays with sheets of baking paper. (or grease them, which is what I did)
02. Beat together the butter and sugar until lighty and fluffy. Beat in the egg and milk until well combined. Sift together the flour and cocoa powder and gradually mix together to form a soft dough.
03. Roll out the dough on to a lightly floured surface until about 5mm thick and cut out your biscuits.
04. Place the biscuits on the baking trays and bake in a preheated over, 180C/350F/Gas Mark 4, for 10-12 minutes, or until golden.
05. To make the icing, place the icing sugar in a bowl and stir in enough orange juice to form a thin icing that will coat the back of a spoon. Spread the icing over the biscuits and leave to set.
Any of got any favourite recipies that you'd like to share? I do love to bake (and cook) =)
