Instead, I'm listening to my music just a shade to the side of too loud and reading SGA fanfic like it's going out of style. I've just finished one that made me laugh so much that I actually snorted.

Bang - Wherein Sheppard keeps walking into doors as a result of being back on Earth and forgetting they don't automatically respond to his thoughts, and people begin to suspect that McKay is beating him. Fucking HILARIOUS and you should read it even if you don't watch Stargate: Atlantis because it's just that good.

J2 Heidi fic. I swear to god. Set in the modern day, it manages to keep the feel of Heidi without sticking to it slavishly. I absolutely adored this. *bundles up Jensen and Jared* Also, it has an awesome Jeff.

I estimate that I will actually manage to do about three of those things.

01. I'm out of beer, which is sad. Considering that I have to be at work in six hours, it's probably a good thing, but still, sad. Must buy more tomorrow since I'm still pretending I have money to spare.

02. I highly recommend Food Porn to any J2 fic lovers out there. So good. So funny. And I was probably too happy at all the references to Waiting... in there.

03. bekkis wrote me comment fic, here. Featuring J2 and two of my favourite things - beer and beards. Have I ever talked about how much I love beards? Because I do and it makes me all sorts of happy inside that they're back in fashion. Hello beards! I heart you!

04. Seriously, why is there no more beer? I have plenty of spirits but not mixers. Oh, the humanity!

It's been a while since I've recommended any fan-fiction, though I've been religiously bookmarking favourites with an eye to that recommendation list I keep telling people I'm going to make.

I've just finished reading a fic, however, that I have to rec now. It's completely unlike anything I've ever read for the pairing, and for the fandom for that matter. Detached, passionate, intriguing and painful all at the same time, if you're a Harry Potter fan at all, I demand you go read it when you have a spare few minutes.

So this is a kinda-sorta-almost meme that I've been meaning to post for ages. Basically, I love reading fic, but always seem to find really crap stuff. This is where you come in.
